Everybody knows "Sage" as a trendy club in Berlin's night life scene... As soon as we look at it from Warang's perspective - a small village in Senegal - "Sage" sounds different. There "Sage" is a hospital, and even though a night club and a hospital are to very different things they belong together. The SAGE-Hospital ist a "child" of Berlin's night club.

For seven years the Berlin club has been supporting the small hospital in Africa. A former ruin developed into a proper hospital which now also hosts a birthing unit and a pharmacy. Staff wages, medical equipment, repairment word - everything needs financial support and Sage's charity events can help here.

"Focus on Africa" is the motto not only for Berlin disco dancers but also staff and artists who come from all over Germany to give their own support to the hospital in Warang. 

I think it's great when DJs, bands, party people and club staff all consciously place their whole day's work towards a good deed. This is an important piece of solidarity across continenty.

I keep my fingers crossed for Sage, for many visitors to the club and as a result a lot of money in the account of SAGE-Hospital e.V.
